This project won us “Best Remodel” in the ASID Design Excellence Awards, 2016. We worked in collaboration with Sanders Architecture and Miars Construction. The homeowners desired to open up their existing floor plan, letting lots of natural light in. Their style is very traditional at heart, but they wanted to modernize their house while still making it feel very timeless and classic. We kept a neutral color scheme of whites and grays, with pops of blue and yellow. We incorporated some of the clients existing traditional furniture pieces and blended them with new more modern silhouettes. Everything is very kid-friendly and functional from the custom vinyl breakfast banquette, to the FLOR carpet squares used as a rug in the Family Room.
