The homeowners wanted the style of their home to have a modern rustic aesthetic. Reclaimed wood was used on the Entry wall separating the Kitchen and Living Room in a horizontal application and with grey tones for a more modern appeal. A reclaimed wood sliding door was used on the custom designed media cabinet across the room to conceal the TV when not in use and to balance out the color and texture of the wood in the space. The Dining Room showcases a bold patterned wallpaper in charcoal and white to add a layer of drama to the space. Amidst a neutral palette of white and grey, pops of orange and aqua (the clients’ favorite colors) were used throughout.
The desired style of the home was to have a modern rustic aesthetic. Clean lines, a neutral palette of white and grey, and the warmth of natural materials and reclaimed wood were blended together to create a sophisticated, timeless, and family friendly environment for its homeowners.
