This project has been featured several times in various publications including Houzz and Austin Home Magazine. The homeowner is a young, successful business man who travels back and forth between Austin and California. Naturally he needed an awesome bachelor pad that he could come home to when he was in Austin and rent when he was away. The home is a classic bungalow in the well desired area of Bouldin Creek. He desired an aesthetic with an earthy modern masculine vibe. The home already had a lot of character with wood flooring and reclaimed wood vaulted ceiling. Other wood elements were brought in with mid century style furnishings with a neutral palette and pops of blue and green and black and white were brought in to liven it up. The art piece over the sofa was a photograph taken by the home owner and incorporated into the space.
